Well, Tata Nano is not doing great in Indian Market and Tata Motor is trying hard to revive the sales of the Nano. To continue the effort, Tata Motors has launched the All-new GenX nano range, a new compact feature-rich hatchback. With this launch, Tata Nano also gets Automated Manual Transmission.
Design
Tata Motors has introduced a new Infinity design theme where you can find an Infinity motif grille on both front and rear bumpers. The company also made it easy to access the boot-space with the openable hatch.
With interior, the car is equipped with Signature steering wheel and color themes.
Engine
The GenX Nano is powered by 624cc multi-point fuel injected, 2 cylinder gasoline engine which produces maximum power of 38 PS @ 5500 RPM and maximum torque of 51 Nm @ 4000 RPM. The new range comprises of the five variants, three with a four-speed manual transmission (XE, XM, XT) and two variants (XMA, XTA) come equipped with a five-speed AMT gearbox.
The GenX Nano ‘Easy Shift’ AMT has an option of ‘Sports’ mode for performance oriented drivers. For ease of maneuverability in heavy traffic and during parking, ‘Easy Shift’ AMT comes with an in-built ‘creep’ feature, which helps the car to crawl as soon as the pressure is eased off the brake pedal, without pressing the accelerator. The GenX Nano continues to have the Electric Power Assisted Steering (ePAS) designed for light steering and for easy maneuvering in tight parking and driving situations in cities.
The GenX Nano gives you mileage of 23.6 kmpl (Manual) and 21.9 kmpl(Automatic).
Hi-tech Features
Tata GenX Nano loaded with4 speakers with Surround sound effect mated to the AmphiStream music system. The system is compatible with Bluetooth, CD, Radio, USB and AUX-in. The car also comes with Digital Information Display with features like Average & Instantaneous Fuel Consumption, Distance to Empty & Gear Shift Indicator.
Tata Motors has also introduced a wide range of specially designed GenX Nano accessories like Door Visors, Sunroof, Art Leather Seat Covers, Decals, Body kit, Reverse Parking Sensors, Remote Controlled Hatch Release etc.
