Ather Energy has unveiled smart, electric scooter called Ather S340. The Scooter is designed for Urban population & is equipped with Lithium Ion Battery pack with top speed of 72 kmph and a range upto 60 kms.
The S340 is not just electric scooter but also comes up with some smart features like touchscreen dashboard with features like user profile based sign in, on board navigation & pre-configured drive modes (Sports & Economy). The dashboard integrated with cloud-based data to help personalize the consumer ride experience.
There is further an app called S340 Mobile App which connects with the Vehicle. The app allows you to configure ride & profile preferences, sync navigation routes remotely, Predictive analytics and aggregation of ride statistics. As more vehicles go in-field, aggregate rider and vehicle data will help in customized vehicle updates that will be delivered automatically over the air.
The scooter comes up with IP67-rated battery pack offers a ride for 5000 kms. The battery pack also comes up with fast charging mode and can be charged from any 5A normal socket in normal mode. The battery can be charged from 0-80% in 50 minutes. It has a distinct sporty look with zero lateral weight offset, a low centre of gravity and intuitive LED lights that respond to ambient light conditions.
Ather Energy setup it’s a manufacturing unit in a Bangalore and will roll out production by the end of this year. Experience centres will bring the product to life and facilitate test rides in the next few months. The company also aims to setup the public charging infrastructure in every city by partnering with government and private enterprises.
