Tata Indica emax (CNG)

One of the latest coming from the creative engineers of Tata Motors is the new Tata Indica emax. This is an eco-friendly, CNG-powered car that is economical and low-maintenance model. Based on the four pillars of innovation and technology, the Indica emax is environment-friendly, economical, and efficient for fuel consumption within an excellent design structure.

Features of the New Indica emax

The car is available in two models: GLS and GLX. Let’s take a look at some of their features:

Comfort and styling

Sensitive power steering and air conditioning are present in both models. The car is equipped with a front power outlet. The front seats have fixed lumbar support and two-way adjustable headrests. The rear seat has a 60:40 flip-flop feature that gives you the ability to enhance space at the back when needed. The car is fitted with a parcel shelf for added storage space. The GLX model also comes with power windows installed in all 4 doors and heating for the interiors.


The GLX model is equipped with a two-speaker audio/MP3/CD player. It also comes with playback radio-AM/FM options. Sound input via Bluetooth, USB and auxiliary cables is available. IR remote control for audio and a digital clock are added for convenience.


The Indica emax has introduced a host of new features in its interiors. Both models of the car have an ebony black dashboard and partial fabric seats. The vehicle comes with an ebony black four-spoke steering wheel and a silver tip gear knob. The front cabin lights up with functional spotlights and the tachometer makes for a useful addition.

The GLX model goes a step further and has a metallic silver center console, dual-tone black and beige interiors and theatre dimming for lights. This model also comes with magazine pockets and water bottle holders built in.


Both models come with motorized clear lens headlamps and side indicator lamps. They have a triple-step chrome tip grill and a 7-speed intermittent front wiper. Both cars also come with body-colored bumpers and stylish decals. The GLS model is equipped with the driver’s side ORVM that is manually adjustable.

The GLX model has added in a few new features such as rear chrome garnish, electrically operated ORVM on both sides as well as ORVM-mounted side blinkers. Body-colored outer door handles are also designed into the exterior features of the car.

Safety features

Safety is a priority. Both models have a high-mounted stop lamp, collapsible steering and three-point ELR seatbelts for front seat passengers. Additionally, the GLX model offers keyless entry, central remote-based locking, front and rear fog lamps and an engine immobilizer. The rear doors have a child safety lock installed and a day/night internal rearview mirror.
