Hero ZIR 150 cc Scooter

Bollywood Actor Raveer Kapoor and Hero MotoCorp have launched new 150cc Scooter  at Auto Expo 2014 in India. The Hero ZIR range comes in two variants: the flat floorboard model and a European style step thru model.

Hero ZIR is powered by Liquid Cooled, 4-Stroke 2 Valves OHC engine that produces the maximum power of 10.5 kW and torque of 12.7 Nm. It’s forced Dynamic Cooling Air System maintains an apt temperature of the liquid coolant during long high speed rides. The top speed of ZIR is 110 kmph.

In design, the ZIR has European-styled step seat, sporty front protection screen, dual projector lamps with day running lights, flower type disc plates, bright LED winkers and tail lamp, integrated pillion handle and a combo of digital – analog console.

Another utility is a socket for mobile phone charging and EFI system will communicate with smart phone for all Engine / Riding information through Ride-Stat app. Right now Android app is in testing but we chance to get our hands on it. It’s really cool to record scooter data such as Fuel Efficiency, Total Km, Trip meter, Throttle, Odometer, Power, Torque, cost per km etc. Right now the app will be available for Android but soon it will be available for iPhone, Windows Phone and BlackBerry.

    • The scooter looks stunning.. I am into the European styled model, the raised floor board version.. The cluster is very good and neatly placed and arranged.. DRLs is a must, and its presence on this scooter is definitely a point people should look forward to, as Hero Motor Corp has kept safety in mind while designing and developing this model.. But then, when is this big boy gonna hit the roads? I have 2 Italiano Blazes.. Now I want this big daddy of all the scooters around..

    Todays roads and job locations are giving me back pains , i was looking forward for comfortable powerfull bike and hero zir is the perfect for me.

  30. Awiting from feb 2014. there is no proper information for the lauch date. different dates from different website… its confusing. There is no proper response from HERO… launch date in india ???? mysterious

    • I know the frustration of you and other users who to buy this Scooter. But let me tell you that the bike is not yet ready for production. From concept to Reality, it takes some effort and research.

  42. Please launch it within this year I mean by 2015 as I am waiting since I heard about Zir. And now I can not wait any more to have a truly masculine Scooter like Zir. No need to mention the price, as whatever it would be I will definitely purchase it.

  45. Price dont matter. Just launch HERO ZIR ASAP. A person who dont ride bike due to it’s inconvenient gear shifts would prefer buying ZIR for comfort and style with power and mileage.

  60. I have inquired for the same at Hero Motocorp customer care but they told that even they do not know the launching date. They have taken my information and told to inform as and when they launch ZIR…….

    • I tried to reach Hero about this, but didn’t get any reply. I was expecting this bike on this Festive season, but looks like we’ve to wait for Auto Expo 2016.

    • I don’t think, hero will gonna launch this scooter in this year. I guess the Scooter still not ready for production.

      In Auto Expo, company always show the concept vehicle to showcase the what to expect in future. Some concept vehicle reached to production state come in market and some just abandon or take few good points and implement into new projects. Whenever I’ll have any news regarding this, I’ll publish here.
