Fiat Chrysler Automobiles India has finally launched two new SUV under Jeep brand, the Jeep Wrangler and Jeep Grand Cherokee. The vehicles are imported as Completely Built Units. Both Jeep Wrangler & Jeep Grand Cherokee was first showcased at Auto Expo 2016.
Fiat also planning to add another vehicle under Jeep brand when local products start at its Ranjangaon manufacturing facility, near Pune, next year. The Jeep Wrangler and the Jeep Grand Cherokee will be sold through 10 Jeep distribution outlets called Jeep Destination Stores, in nine Indian cities by the end of this year. The Jeep Destination Store go live in Ahmedabad at the time of launch, followed closely by New Delhi and Chennai in September. The Mumbai outlet will open in October, along with a second outlet in New Delhi, both before Diwali, followed by Hyderabad, Chandigarh, Kochi and Bengaluru.
Jeep Wrangler is an Off-road 4×4 vehicle that is powered by 2.8 Litre EcoDiesel inline 4-cylinder engine which produces maximum power of 200 PS @ 3600 RPM and maximum torque of 460 Nm @ 1600-2600 RPM. The engine is mated with 5-speed Automatic transmission.
The Jeep Wrangler is designed to go anywhere in any kind of terrain. The Train Rated SUV comes with Command Trac 4×4 system with heavy duty solid axles, 18 bolt main case joint clamping and 17-inch Silent Armour Goodyear Tyres. The powerful body is well protected by an inbuilt sports bar and it comes with removable doors, a three-piece modular, removable hard top & soft top.
Talking about the interior, the Wrangler has McKinley leather seats with accent stitching, lockable center console, anine-speaker Alpine music system, 6.5-inch Uconnect touch screen navigation system which can be controlled by voice commands.

The Jeep Wrangler available in six colors and right now only single variant is available in India which is Wrangler Unlimited 4×4.
