Today Bajaj Auto launched the 2014 Kawasaki Ninja 1000 in India at ₹ 12.50 lakh (ex-showroom Pune). Kawasaki takes an aggressive approach to increase its presence in Indian Market. In October they launched Ninja ZX 14R and Ninja ZX 10R. Along with Ninja 1000, Kawasaki also launched Z1000 for the same price. Currently the company initial target for sales is 10 units per model per year.
Kawasaki Ninja 1000 is the bike from Ninja series and the bike will offer a combination of comfort and control. The bike powered by the flagship-level technology 3-mode KTRC (Kawasaki Traction Control) and customizable power modes. The bike also offers an upright seating position, large fuel tank, and adjustable windscreen among its features, as well as a transmission exclusively geared for street-riding. The Ninja 1000 has 1043 cc liquid cooled 16-valve engine with new Cylinder connecting passageways that reduce pumping losses and improve RPM performance. The engine produces 142 PS of power at 10,000 RPM and 111 NM of torque at 7300 RPM.
Kawasaki Ninja 1000 using Aluminum backbone frames which is similar to the Ninja ZX 10R, it helps make the bike narrow and easy to grip with the knees for maximum rider comfort and feedback. The frame is lightweight and highly rigid.
In front, Ninja 1000 has a new monobloc radial mount front brake calipers offer superb braking power and control, in the back we’ve upgraded horizontal backlink rear suspension.
The new instrumentation features KTRC, Power Mode, ABS, Economical Riding (ECO) indicators, digital speedometer, odometer, dual trip meter, clock, instant and average fuel consumption, coolant temperature, and low-fuel warning lamps
The Bike will be imported to India via the Completely Built Unit (CBU) and will be available at Pune and New Delhi Dealership.
