Bajaj Auto Launches World’s First CNG Motorcycle, Bajaj Freedom.
Bajaj Freedom is a 125cc motorcycle that can run on both CNG and petrol. The 4-stroke air-cooled engine produces a maximum power of 9.5 PS at 8000 RPM and a maximum torque of 9.7 Nm at 5000 RPM.
On CNG:
- Top speed: 90.5 kmph
- Range: 200 km
On Petrol:
- Top speed: 93.4 kmph
- Range: 130 km
The Bajaj Freedom comes with a 2kg CNG tank and an additional 2L petrol tank for extended range.
Bajaj specially modified its piston shape & engine design to accommodate the CNG fuel which is hot & dry. They’ve also added bigger cooling jets compared to standard 125 cc
bikes, along with larger fins, to enhance the cooling process.
