After the Separation, Honda Motorcycle and Scooters India (HMSI) trying hard to dethrone Hero MotoCorp Market in the commuter bike segment. Honda recently launched its new 100cc Commuter bike Honda Dream Neo in India to compete with current commuter segment King Hero Splendor. Today we are going to compare two commuter bikes Honda Dream Neo vs Hero Splendor Pro.
Hero Splendor Pro:
As a matter of fact hero MotoCorp..tries different technology for every segment of the motorbike it presents. Here in the case of Hero Splendor Pro, the most popular and the most productive motor bike (in terms of sales) the Hero Moto Corp employs the Digital CDI (capacitor Discharge ignition) technology for the ignition system having the advantage of short charging time (between 3 ~ 10 KV/μsec) . Hero Splendor Pro has the compression ratio of 9:1 which is comparatively high as far as the gasoline fuel i.e. Petrol is concerned. The compression ratio in a gasoline or petrol-powered engine will usually not be much higher than 10:1 due to potential engine knocking (detonation).
Honda Dream Neo:
If you are more concerned about the engine specification than we guess you will happy to know that Honda Dream neo is the first motor bike from Honda which comes with the new Honda Eco Technology (HET). Earlier this technology was introduced in the scooters like Activa, Aviator and Dio. HET or Honda Eco Technology is what Honda claims make the motor bike the most fuel efficient vehicles in India.
It basically works and boosts mechanical efficiency hence improving fuel efficiency. The combustion has been improved with a new spark plug and optimized inlet port.
The basic similarity in between the Hero Splendor Pro and Honda Dream Neo is the built design. According to the trend the maximum body part of both of the motorbikes is made up of fiber. The Hero Splendor Pro has Tubular Double Cradle Type chassis where as the Hero Dream Neo has the Diamond type chassis. The basic disadvantage with Dream Neo is the looks which are quite similar to the Dream Yuga.
